Welcome 2010! Thank You!

Happy New Year Dear Friends!

I can't beleive that this year has come and gone.  It has been an amazing journey, full of it's ups and downs but we made it.  My husband and I certainly welcom 2010 with open arms.  I would like to personally thank each and every one of you for your support and understanding during our first year.  If it wasn't for you, we wouldn't be where we are today.  {{{HUGS}}}

I would also like to thank a very dear friend, Sandra!  If it wasn't for Sandy and her loving heart and inspiring mind, we wouldn't have accomplished half of what we did this year.  You have kept me going through thick and thin (more thin than anything - LOL).  When I've been down, you've kept me up-beat... and visa-versa.  I love you with all of my heart!

Finally, I wanted to thank my 3 amazing children for putting up with me this year!  I know my daughter Abby will probably read this, so be sure to pass it on to your brother and sister.  You guys ROCK!  I owe you a "baby" Penguins game. (yeah, kiddos are diehard Penguins fans... and Mom's a Flyers Junkie!  It's an interesting mix - Ha!).

I have some inspiration to share with you from a dear friend and loyal fan of The Beary Scrap.  Our own very talented Kim Bender created these adorable projects.  Although I tried to get them posted sooner... it just didn't happen. ( Sorry :( ) Christmas is busy with 3 little ones.  With the youngest being 2 (3 in February), it's not been easy.  Anyway....

This one has to be my personal favorite!  Wouldn't this make a great place setting on your holiday table?  I'm preparing for next year!  This was created using punch art.

Here is another punch art creation made by Kim Bender.  The chocolate has my mouth watering!  I love the little gingerbread man!  Left over cookies... here I come!

And finally, a few cards for you created with punches.  I think Kim used heart puches for the tree.  It is simply adorable.  I love the dimension created with the white chalking.

Kim, thank you so much for the inspiration!

The 8 minute countdown has started!  I must pull my "new years resolution list" and recite it to my friends an family.  If I can conquer at least half of what is on the list, I'll be greatful.

Till next year!  Love you ALL!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Our weekend croppers braved the snow!

Hello Friend!

What a weekend we had!  All of our little croppers and our Mom's braved the snow and came out for a morning and afternoon of FUN!  Yep, Sandy hosted 2 sessions.  There is no doubt that we have some budding diehard scrappers in the making.  Oh, and the talent!  Mom's, you certainly do a great job passing on your creativity to your little ones.   I was only able to get one picture from our afternoon group.  Charolette stayed for the morning session even after other things came up with her granddaughter... so she took some pictures for us too.   I can't wait to see them.

Here's our budding scrappers from the afternoon group...

They had so much fun... and Sandy spoiled them silly!

****************************

We were supposed to have only had 2 inches of snow, but I think it was 5 by the time it was all said and done.  Now, it's freezing cold outside!  Spring can't come soon enough.  One snowfall is all I need.

****************************

How about this darling Ribbon Tree Created by Sandy!  This would make a great Teacher's Gift, or a cute centerpiece on a table.

To create the ribbon tree, Sandy used a styrofoam cone and covered it with ribbon. I believe she said each piece of ribbon was 4" in lengh. The ribbon is then looped and tacked in place with a pin. The star she picked up at one of the craft stores. You could make this with paper strips instead of ribbon. What a way to use up some of that paper stash we all have laying around. How about creating them smaller and decorating your place settings on your holiday table.

****************************

Here's a card I finally finished!  I'm still trying find 4 extra hours in a day - LOL.

This card was created using an adorable Bear and Robin Stamp from Stampavie.  The image was colored in with copic (and I'll be darned if I can remember what colors I used - sorry).  I added some Polar White Flower Soft to his Santa Hat and the base of the image.  Makes him look like he's sitting in the snow instead of "floating in space" - LOL.  The sentiment if from Kraftin' Kimmie's Holiday Sentiments.  With 44 sentiments in this set to choose from, it was hard to decide what one to use.  I think this one fit well.

Cardstock is Bazzill, Patterned paper is Basic Grey's Eskimo Kisses (my favorite line!)

Thanks for stopping by!

Reindeer "Tear Bear" Assembly Tutorial

Hello Fellow Scrappers!

I just finished posting the tutorial for my new Reindeer Pattern.  Click HERE to check it out.  The response to our new pattern has been unbelievable!  Hmmm, I wonder what is next?  Desicions, desicions, desicions - LOL.  There are so many to choose from.  I could really use some help, so feel free to post a comment or email me with your requests.  The most requested patterns will be posted and the winning pattern will be made available! (That is if we have enough participants).  And who knows what might happen after that. {wink}.

If haven't gotten your new pattern order yet, you can do so by clicking HERE.  Don't forget, all orders of $35.00 or more place through our website will receive FREE SHIPPING.  Hey, who doesn't like free shipping.  And no, we don't have that offer available on FeeBay, so you can pick up some extra papers and other goodies while you are there too.

Thanks for dropping by.

New Pattern Now Available!

Hello friends and Happy December!  How many of you were brave enough to head out for Black Friday?  Not me... I stayed in with the kids and then headed to the shop for the day.  It was nice to see a few of our friends out and about.  There were some great deals out there over the weekend, and some awesome deals at the shop and on our website too!  Thanks so much for all of you that made our Christmas Kick-Off a successful one.  You help us pay the rent!  {hugs}

I know I'm a little late getting our new pattern released, but really... what else is new - LOL.  This wasn't the one I had planned on doing, but given the Spirit of Christmas is in the air, I thought a Reindeer was most appropriate.

Isn't he just adorable!  He is designed to have more of a "3D" effect.  You can view the pattern specifics and purchase it HERE. I've used our Caramel and White Mulberry paper to create him.

I have changed up our packaging for this one since he requires a bit more guidance for assembly.  I hope to have some tips posted on the Tear Bear Blog tomorrow.

New Arrivals at the Store:

Nook & Pantry by Basic Grey is now stocked at the shop.  I'll have it up on the website in a day or two.  Origins and Sugar Rush are expected to ship Mid December!  Oh, I can't wait.

We are still waiting on our Copic to arrive before we host our first class by own oun "Copic Certified Designer".

Attention Mommy & Me Croppers:

We have 2 Mommy & Me sessions scheduled this Saturday, one morning session and one for the afternoon.  Please do not forget to bring your basic supplies, including adhesive.

December Classes:

I'm just starting to finish up a few classes for December.  I hope to have some pics posted this weekend.  We will be hosting a Last Minute Card Class, Flower Soft Class, Tear Bear Class, and a Quick Gifts Class.  I've been busy creating the project examples for these classes and I'm running on limited time - as always!  Hey, at lease I got my "new patter" checked off my list - LOL.  I had hoped to have them completed for today, but Black Friday to Cyber Monday was REALLY busy.
